Clean Rooms are labs that require special cleaning procedures, similar to that in a hospital high risk setting. Each lab is a controlled environment and requires specific cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals.
Cross contamination must be avoided at all times. Separate sets of cleaning equipment and tools are needed for each clean room. If disposable cleaning tools are used, they must be disposed after use in each clean room. If micro fiber cleaning tools are used, they must be laundered in a disinfectant solution after each use.
Floor surfaces are swept using a micro fiber floor cloth and then vacuumed using a HEPPA vacuum. The floor surface is then cleaned using an antimicrobial wet mop. Dusting is performed using a micro fiber disposable tool.
